Welcome to our New Website!

Welcome to the new website home of the Rochester Area Family YMCA.  We are finally taking off our hard hats after two months of intense construction.  As with any new road construction, we can’t wait for you to drive our new roads to whatever your YMCA destination is.  Whether its program registration, volunteer opportunities, job openings or ways to donate, finding the information has never been easier.  We’ve even added a search engine to help you find everything you need with just one click of your mouse.

 We also know that with new road construction, there might be some landscaping that still needs to happen or a lane that still needs to be restriped. That is why we aren’t putting our hard hats away for good; we know that there are still parts of our site that will need some tweaking or further construction before it’s complete.  It’s for these reasons; we need you to test drive our new roads and let us know your opinion.  You are our users and we want to make this as friendly a site as possible.  Please let us know what you like and don’t like about this site by going to the Contact Us” tab on our home page and sending us an email.  We will compile our suggestions and make corrections shortly afterwards.

 Finally, our hope is that you’ll utilize our website more than you have in the past.  We are equipped to quickly change information which will allow us to give up to the minute news about program cancellations due to weather, new course offerings and any emergency information.  We also want this website to be interactive and will look to our users to write stories about their experiences at the Y, critique a class, etc.  We are no longer just a site to get a pool schedule but a site you can use to get the most out of your YMCA experience.

 I hope you’ll find our new website as useful and exciting as I do.  Special thanks to Tim Jackson of Computer Titan for his help in designing this website and to our management staff for their hard work in providing the information contained on this website.  Happy driving everyone…and don’t worry about driving too fast, there’s no speed limit anymore!
