The Rochester Area Family Y has always been, is presently and will continue to be focused on youth and families. Our new Water Park is OPEN! We are the place for the family! At the Y, families will find mission-driven, values-based, quality programs for every member of the family. Our new pricing structure is more inclusive, affordable, and family friendly than ever before.   As part of " Activate America ", a national Y initiative working to decrease obesity in our community, we recognize the importance of increasing access to the quality programs, facilities and people of our Y. This will allow us to reach more people and assist them in leading healthier lifestyles.




  • 2008 Category changes:

          •  The Solo Parent Family membership is being reintroduced to the Y    membership category. It's for any family where only one adult has membership privledges at the Y.

•  A Couple category will be added which will cover any two adults in one household.

•  The Youth membership is back by popular demand! This category is for ages 0-9 and will include the member rates for programs.

•  Our Student category is lowered to age 10, in which a youth can come to our facility without parental supervision.

Open Doors Financial Assistance

The YMCA is committed to providing programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for everyone. Those unable to pay the full fee may receive sliding scale assistance through our Open Doors financial assistance program. Sliding scale assistance is based on monthly income and expenses, and on the ability of the YMCA to fund the subsidy. Funds are raised to support the Open Doors Program t hrough the annual Strong Kids Campaign. A pplications for assistance are available at the member service desk. All information is confidential.

Day Pass Prices and Guidelines 

The Rochester Area Family Y is a membership organization, and therefore, we allow minimal non-member usage as a courtesy to our members. Guest passes are available for purchase by persons visiting from out of the Rochester area and guests of our members.

 

To purchase a guest pass, you MUST : •  Enter the facility with a member OR have permanent residence outside of the Rochester area

•  Present a valid photo ID (i.e. driver's license, school ID, military ID, or passport)

 

Guest Pass Rates are as follows:

  Student (ages 10 - 18)                                 $10.00

  Young Adult (ages 19 - 23)                      $10.00

  Adult (ages 24 - 64)                                    $10.00

  Senior Citizen (age 65+)                               $5.00

  Couple (at least one person age 19+)   $15.00

  Family (at least one person age 19+)   $20.00

 

RESTRICTIONS:

One guest pass purchase allowed per member per visit.

Guests ages 2 to 9 must be supervised by a person age 16+ at all times. (Purchase of Couple or Family guest pass required.)

Guests under age 2 will be admitted at no charge and must be supervised by a person age 19+ at all times.

Guest passes are good for one visit only . If you leave the facility or any reason, your pass expires. If you wish to continue use of the facility, a new pass purchase would be required upon re-entry.


Young Children at the Y

  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by and interacting with an adult member or adult day pass purchaser at all times except during preschool classes
  • Use of family locker room for parents who bring opposite-sex preschoolers over age 2; provide your own lock or purchase/rent at service center.
  • Infants in carriers may not be left unattended

Membership Card

  • Membership cards are issued at the Business Office
  • Please present your card at the Access Desk each time you come. If you forget your card 3 times, you will be required to purchase another before admittanceMemberships are not transferable
  • To change a membership category, stop at the Business Office

Starting a Membership
Come on in! Complete a Membership Application. If you would like to pay monthly, you provide a voided check, sign your bank draft form  and then pay pro-rated amount for the remaining month, your first month's membership fee & the one time joining fee. If you pay the year in full, please bring cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express).

Joining/Processing Fees
New members pay a joining fee depending on their membership type. We call it a processing fee because it helps us cover the bank service fees for drafting your bank account each month. This fee is waived for those eligible under one of the insurance programs listed on the next page.

Payment Options

Monthly - Auto debit from checking or savings.

Annually - Cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express)

Length of Membership

Membership is continuous until the member notifies the Y that they wish to discontinue. A change form must be filled out 15 days prior to bankdraft
date to avoid charges for the following month. The Y does not require an
annual contract, however, if a member cancels and re-joins at a later date,
they will be required to pay the joining fee. We do require a minimum of
2 bankdrafts at the start of a new membership.

Financial Assistance

We are an inclusive organization. We receive money from our annual Strong Kids campaign to provide scholarship for adults, youth, or families in need. Stop by the Front Desk for an application.

Membership Card & Scanner

A membership card is issued to members age 10 & older. Members must

present this card for admittance to the YMCA. Replacement cards are $5.00.

Towels

We offer a daily towel rental for $.25 and punch card for towel service for $5.00. Inquire at the Front Desk.

Valuables

The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We recommend that you not bring valuables to the facility. We rent combination locks at the front desk for $.25 or we sell locks for $6.50.

Lockers

Lockers are available for daily use by members and guests. We recommend that you bring your own padlock.

A.W.A.Y. (Always Welcome At YMCA's)

Most YMCA's will honor your membership card. If you are traveling, check the YMCA of the USA website at www.ymca.net for more information on other locations. We can also print verification for your family members who have not yet received their membership card because of their age to ensure a pleasant family experience.
