Financial Aid

As a mission-based, cause-driven, non-profit organization, the Rochester Area Family YMCA raises money annually through our Strong Kids Campaign to provide opportunities to those who could not afford them otherwise. Volunteers that believe in our mission and support our organization work tirelessly to raise funds every year so that we do not have to turn anyway away who is in need of our services.

OPEN DOORS PROGRAM

The Open Doors Program offers scholarships for memberships and programs, based on your current income and financial situation. All you need to do is fill out the Open Doors Application, provide the required documents, and turn your items into the Welcome Center.
All applicants will still be responsible for a portion of their membership dues and program fees, based on our sliding-fee scale. Applications are available here on our website or at the Welcome Center. The application process can take approximately two weeks to be approved. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact the Y to see if they application has been approved. Due to the high demand for scholarships, we cannot contact every individual that is approved. Feel free to call the Welcome Center at 287-2260 x 354 for an update on the status of your application.
