Get involved with your teen at the Y and help them make the right decisions in regards to where to go and what to do! The environment at the Y will give your child not only a safe place to be, but also a place to meet new friends in a place that encourages development, good behavior, and social responsibility.
MEMBERSHIP FOR TEENS
When youth reach the age of ten at the Y, they are allowed to be in the building by themselves and check out rental equipment, based on good behavior. The code of conduct at the Y is strict and is in place to keep everyone behaving in line with our morals and values, in order to provide a safe environment for everyone. While teens can have their own membership, based on parental consent, a family membership to the Y will allow you and all of your children to all participate together in programs and activities.
FITNESS FOR TEENS
Youth that are ages 13 or older have the opportunity to participate in fitness programs at the Y. This includes our free group fitness classes, working out in our fitness center, and participating in fitness programs such as Boot Camp and Kettle Bells. The Y also offers a Pre-Teen Circuit Challenge to introduce youth ages 10-12 to fitness. Look for this class in our current brochure or on our registration page.
