Y Give to the Rochester Area Family Y?

For over 100 years, the Rochester Area Family Y has been meeting the changing needs of kids, families and communities at the local level. The Rochester Area Family Y is a not-for-profit organization that serves the Olmsted County area through a broad spectrum of programs.

From group fitness and the fitness center, to youth sports and swimming lessons to teach children skills in an atmosphere that encourages the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, the Y is a place where everyone belongs! Day camp for elementary school aged children provides supervision, warm friendships and keeps kids active during the summer; Family nights provide fun together time for families of young children; Y Mentors connects caring adults with at-risk youth to improve the life-long prospects of the child; the Y Resource Center provides low-cost counseling and a well-respected domestic violence education and support group that helps women escape violent situations.

The goal of the Rochester Area Family Y is to turn no one away due to inability to pay. Proceeds from the Y Auction benefit the Strong Kids Campaign at the Rochester Area Family Y. These funds bring Y values and activities to kids, families and individuals who would otherwise be unable to participate due to inability to pay, as well as support mission –based programming. Last year, 873 area kids, parents and individuals were able to participate in Y programming due to the generosity of Y Auction bidders and other Y donors.
